The Foundation for Medical Care of Kern and Santa Barbara Counties doing business as HealthEdge Administrators (FMC / HealthEdge) works directly with brokers, consultants, general agents and insurance companies to provide the most appropriate healthcare solutions. Unlike many of our competitors, who have a large national presence with multiple locations, FMC / HealthEdge concentrates our efforts in each of the communities we serve. We believe that healthcare is and should be locally based whenever possible and all of our programs and services support this philosophy. Our strong focus in our communities results in greater cooperation among all parties and thus, more effective management of all aspects of healthcare delivery.
More than 50 years ago, Foundation for Medical Care (FMC) began as a physician network organization offering third-party claims administration for Kern and Santa Barbara Counties. Today, FMC / HealthEdge is a full-service healthcare organization, providing healthcare services throughout California and across the nation.

HealthEdge offers self-funded dental plans for employers to provide excellent benefits with substantial savings for the employer. Self-Funded medical dental/vision plans work best for employers with greater than 10 employees.
Medical Provider Networks
Medical Provider Networks (MPN) assist employers in managing their medical costs through a diverse network of qualified physicians, specialists, clinics and hospitals that specialize in the treatment of occupational injuries.
Employers may select from an established Workers’ Compensation Network or a customized narrow network can be developed to meet your specific needs or regulatory requirements. MPN work best for employers with 500 or more employees.
